Elaine Jaques

about

I strive for a fundamental authenticity in my work, a core connectedness to an image, an expression of an idea or a feeling that can communicate something real both to me and to the beholder. The power of a nuanced gesture, to evoke a multi-layered and highly individual response, continues to engage and fascinate me. Sometimes the smallest piece conveys the greatest intent and the strongest, biggest idea.
